About us
DXG Board and Learn was created out of my love for dogs and the values I live by as a family man. The name comes from my kids, Destiny, Xavier, and Griffin, because family is at the heart of everything I do.
I have been training dogs for over ten years, starting with my own and then helping family and friends with theirs. Over the years I have worked with all kinds of dogs including rescues and high-anxiety dogs, and I have seen how patience, structure, and the right approach can completely change a dog’s life.
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all style of training. Some companies put every dog in an e-collar and prong right from the start but I do not think that is fair. Not every dog needs that. I use food, lures, clickers, or verbal markers whenever possible, and if tools are needed I use them carefully and always with the goal of phasing them out. My focus is on building trust, not fear.
Right now I am offering in-home lessons because I believe the best place to build confidence and good habits is at home where it matters most. I work with puppies, obedience and manners, and advanced off-leash training. My goal is to help families enjoy life with well-mannered, confident dogs that truly feel like part of the family.
In the future I hope to grow DXG Board and Learn into a training and boarding facility that can also support rescue dogs. A big part of that dream is starting Hardy’s House of Heroes, a rescue named after my family’s beloved dog Hardy who showed nothing but love and helped change people’s views on misunderstood breeds.
When you work with me the support does not stop when the program ends. I will always be here to help throughout your dog’s lifetime if new challenges come up.

Our story
DXG Board and Learn was inspired by my love for dogs and my role as a father of three—Destiny, Xavier, and Griffin. With over 10 years of experience training dogs, I wanted to build something rooted in patience, growth, and family values. I offer multiple training methods to fit each dog’s unique needs, making training accessible while helping create confident dogs and happier homes.
Our approach
My approach is different because I don’t believe in using the same tools for every dog. E-collars or prongs are only introduced when truly necessary, and I use them as a form of pressure, not fear—always working to fade them out rather than keep dogs dependent on them. For food-motivated dogs, I’ll use lures, clickers, or verbal markers, tailoring the training to fit each dog’s personality and needs. This balanced, adaptable approach builds trust, confidence, and lasting results.
Our vision
My vision for DXG Board and Learn is to grow into a trusted place where families can find affordable, reliable training and boarding that feels like home. I want to make proper training more accessible so fewer dogs end up in shelters and more families get to enjoy life with well-mannered companions. Over time, I hope to expand into a full facility that not only offers training and boarding but also supports rescues and gives back to the community.
Hardy’s house of heroes
Eventually, every boarding will help fund and support Hardy’s House of Heroes, a rescue I plan to start in memory of my family’s beloved dog Hardy. He showed nothing but love and changed so many people’s views on breeds that once made them uncomfortable. Through Hardy’s House of Heroes, my dream is to carry on that legacy—giving misunderstood dogs the chance to prove how amazing they truly are.
Making a difference
The goal is simple: to help more dogs succeed, help more families thrive, and make a lasting difference in Norfolk, Oxford, Brant, the GTA, and eventually across all of Ontario.
